SUSPERIA was a monthly manga magazine spin off of "MONTHLY HALLOWEEN" a different company trying to edge their way into the shojo horror manga market. In my opinion Susperia is a more outrageous package and much heavier on the gore side of things compared to Monthly Halloween. BUT DONT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT

Like all monthly manga magazines, these phone book size tomes were often recycled after being read, making them particularly hard to find, especially 30 years after the fact. There is really no comparison state-side to these massive books. Besides being incredible objects on their own, a level of aesthetic perfection is achieved with the blasted out printing production. Some of the more popular pieces would later be "nicely" reprinted in collections, but the immediacy of the saturated newsprint gives the first printings of these morally questionable stories the presentation they deserve, unhinged and on the brink of self destruction.

Used copy, but this one is in great shape all things considered, some minor spine and edge wear.
